Breakfast with Olympian Lara Dallman-Weiss
The Melbourne Yacht Club Sailing Education Department is proud to host Breakfast with Olympian Lara Dallman-Weiss on March 29, 2025 at the MYC Clubhouse. Lara competed with the US team in Tokyo in the 2020 Olympics and last summer in the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 470 class.
We invite all sailors of all skill levels to come and listen to Lara discuss her love for sailing, her journey to the Olympics, and what it takes to become a successful sailor.
Lara is originally from Shoreview, Minnesota, but found her love for competitive sailing at Eckerd College (Go Tritons!). She was sailing team captain, won 3rd place at Women’s Nationals, and earned both Crew and Skipper of the Year awards.
Before campaigning full-time in the 470 class, Lara raced and work with a diverse range of teams, most notably placing 1st in the C&C class at Key West Race Week, 1st in the Perini Navi class in the Bucket Regatta, 1st in the Etchells Pacific Coast Championship as main trimmer, and 3rd in the Women’s Match Race World Championship being part of the Epic Racing team.
Come and listen to Lara speak about all her experiences and enjoy a leisurely breakfast with the prettiest view in Melbourne harbor.
Tickets are $15 for MYC youth sailors and $25 for all other interested parties. Adults will receive one adult breakfast beverage, and our renowned hospitality team will have the bar open.
Menu will include bagels & cream cheese, smoked salmon, pancakes, bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, juice.
Spread the word and reserve your tickets today! All proceeds will benefit sailing education at MYC.
